Traveling Conditions Circus animals spend most of their days on the road because of worldwide circus shows. Animals are constantly traveling in severe conditions like for example in small cages. Animals are constantly traveling in cages, boxcars, trailers, or trucks for days at a time and in extremely hot and cold weather conditions. Small cages like in this image are where circus animals spend most of their life, often without access to essential necessities such as water, food and very importantly veterinary care. They hardly have enough room in these cages and this is where they have to sleep and eat day in and day out especially while traveling. This is also unhealthy because they have no one to socialization with or any physical exercise. This often causes animals to go insane and exhibit crazy behaviors. This picture comes to show that animals are forced to travel in unhealthy conditions which harms them.
